First, we need to grill ne cevapi, then we heat the kajmak to make it runny, and last but not least, we dip the grilled cevapi in kajmak. Such a treat that I bet you’re going to adore.

    Essential ingredients

    For this recipe, we will only need three ingredients. 

    Cevapcici - for this recipe, select your preferred Cevapcici. We opted for Leskovački čevapčiči Z'Dežele, a delightful blend of beef and pork that retains its succulence and tenderness, making it an excellent choice for this dish.

    Kajmak is a creamy dairy food similar to clotted cream, and it is well-known in Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, and other countries. Reheat the Kajmak to make it runny, but don't cook it too long, or it will change its texture and become greasy.

    Cheese - choose your favorite cheese that melts well. We like Edam, Gouda, Goat cheese.

      Heat your gas grill or fire up the grill to get the grill temperature to about 250 °C or 480 °F. When the grill is hot, clean the rack with a long brush. Take the cevapcici out of the fridge for at least 30 minutes before grilling.

      In a bowl, stir to combine shredded cheese and kajmak. Arrange the mixture over a cast-iron skillet (appropriate for grilling on a barbecue).
