Essential ingredients

There aren’t many ingredients in this recipe, but each one plays an important role. They are:

Bread – you can choose any kind of bread, but we prefer to go with a baguette, sliced a bit thicker and at an angle. This gives a nice shape and allows the bread to toast beautifully in the oven until crispy.

Burrata – this delicious cheese is creamy and we season it further with olive oil and lemon for a Mediterranean touch. You can substitute it with mozzarella if you like, though it won’t be as creamy.

Prosciutto – the star of this recipe is Lokavski prosciutto, known for its delicious flavor and thin slices.

Figs – choose red or green ripe figs; the key is that they’re juicy and flavorful.

Honey – any kind of honey will do, but floral honey truly adds the finishing touch. It brings sweetness and nicely balances all the flavors.
