Margarita Mocktail

A refreshing margarita mocktail with mango, orange, and lime — no alcohol needed. Easy recipe, perfect for a refreshing summer day. Ready in 10 minutes.

Margarita Mocktail
Summer without a real cocktail in hand? No problem. This margarita mocktail proves that a non-alcoholic drink can taste just as exciting as the original – without a single drop of alcohol. The combination of sweet mango, tart lime, and juicy orange creates a perfect balance of flavors that refresh with every sip. Whether you're making this drink for a kid's birthday, a family lunch, a pregnant friend, or simply want to spend a hot afternoon on the terrace without alcohol – this recipe comes together in under 10 minutes and requires no special bartending skills.

Top 5 tips and tricks

Follow these five steps to make the perfect mocktail.

  1. Use a ripe mango. A riper mango means more intense sweetness and a smoother texture without added sugar. If fresh mango isn't available, frozen can also be used.
  2. Freshly squeezed citrus is key. Freshly squeezed lime and orange give the drink that brightness that makes the difference between an average mocktail and a great one.
  3. Adjust the sweet-to-tart ratio. If the mango is less sweet, add a bit more syrup; if you want a more refreshing effect, increase the lime. Taste and adjust to your own preference.
  4. Add ice last. If you add ice too early, the mixture dilutes before you even serve it. Prepare the liquid first, then assemble the cocktail.
  5. Don't forget the rimmed glass. This isn't just decoration – it adds a flavor contrast that mimics a real margarita and makes the drink more interesting for the palate. The chili can be left out, if preferred.

Gorenje ice maker

A margarita mocktail is so much better when the ice comes from a real ice maker. The Gorenje ice maker (IMDW1500B) makes fresh, dome-shaped ice cubes in just 9 minutes — no waiting, and no empty ice tray right when you need it. With a 2.2-liter reservoir, you can easily serve a whole crowd on a hot summer day. It's compact and lightweight, so it goes wherever you do — the terrace, the campsite, or a weekend getaway — whenever a refreshing drink is calling. Just add water to the reservoir, choose your cube size, and the machine takes care of the rest.
