We are one of those people that love a good classic burger. However, we are also one of those people who like to use any leftover food. So a few weeks ago, we made our Oven-Baked Chicken Tenders. We had a few pieces of leftovers, so we decided to make a simple Crispy Chicken Burger. We used our homemade brioche burger buns and those baked chicken tenders. Then we made a simple salad using lettuce, pickles, onion, and mayo. To top it off, we combined mayo with ketchup and a pinch of cayenne pepper for some spiciness and character. So good!

How to make a good Crispy Chicken Burger at home

Ingredients are what make the dish amazingly delicious. For this burger, we chose the best we could find.

Sauce - the most straightforward component of this recipe is the sauce. You simply combine some mayo with ketchup and a pinch of cayenne pepper for some spiciness.

Salad - it's light, creamy, and fresh. We used lettuce, pickles, onion, and some mayo to make it delicious.

Chicken - If you're using the leftover Baked Chicken Tenders for these burgers, we recommend placing them into the preheated oven from the fridge. Bake them for about 8 - 10 minutes at 230 C/ 445F (fan-assisted oven). Feel free to use freshly baked chicken tenders for this recipe too.

Buns - we still haven't found store-bought buns that we love 100%, so we make our own from scratch. We always make double the amount of our Homemade Brioche Burger buns. We use some and freeze the other for later.

  • lettuce mayo salad

    Clean the lettuce and chop it evenly into smaller chunks. Add to a bowl along with chopped pickled, chopped onion, and mayo. Toss to combine and set aside until needed.

  • mayo sauce

    In a small bowl, combine mayo, ketchup, and cayenne pepper. Set aside until needed.

  • toast the burger buns

    Cut each burger bun in half. Place a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the burger buns with the cut side down into the pan and toast until golden brown. Transfer to a plate until needed.

  • Crispy Chicken Burger

    Add two tablespoons of the prepared salad to each burger bun. Place two chicken tenders on the salad. Drizzle the mayo ketchup sauce. Top with the upper half of the bun and serve immediately.
