Top 5 tips and tricks
Follow these five steps to make the perfect mocktail.
- Use a ripe mango. A riper mango means more intense sweetness and a smoother texture without added sugar. If fresh mango isn't available, frozen can also be used.
- Freshly squeezed citrus is key. Freshly squeezed lime and orange give the drink that brightness that makes the difference between an average mocktail and a great one.
- Adjust the sweet-to-tart ratio. If the mango is less sweet, add a bit more syrup; if you want a more refreshing effect, increase the lime. Taste and adjust to your own preference.
- Add ice last. If you add ice too early, the mixture dilutes before you even serve it. Prepare the liquid first, then assemble the cocktail.
- Don't forget the rimmed glass. This isn't just decoration – it adds a flavor contrast that mimics a real margarita and makes the drink more interesting for the palate. The chili can be left out, if preferred.
Gorenje ice maker
A margarita mocktail is so much better when the ice comes from a real ice maker. The Gorenje ice maker (IMDW1500B) makes fresh, dome-shaped ice cubes in just 9 minutes — no waiting, and no empty ice tray right when you need it. With a 2.2-liter reservoir, you can easily serve a whole crowd on a hot summer day. It's compact and lightweight, so it goes wherever you do — the terrace, the campsite, or a weekend getaway — whenever a refreshing drink is calling. Just add water to the reservoir, choose your cube size, and the machine takes care of the rest.
