Pad thai
Pad Thai is one of the most famous and beloved Thai dishes. It brings together the perfect balance of sweet, salty, sour, and spicy flavors. This staple of Bangkok’s street food scene, has gained popularity around the world – and now you can easily make it at home. In this post, you’ll find a simple Pad Thai recipe, along with vegetarian and vegan variations. At home, we like to make it with tofu, shrimp, or chicken – or a combination of these – but you can also stick to just one protein, depending on your preference.

What is pad thai

Pad Thai is a traditional Thai street food dish made with rice noodles quickly stir-fried in a hot pan with egg, tofu, shrimp, or chicken. The sauce is a blend of tamarind paste, fish sauce, soy sauce, garlic, and sugar, giving the dish its signature sweet and tangy flavor.

Storing

We prefer to enjoy Pad Thai fresh, but if there are any leftovers, it can be stored in the fridge.
Once cooled, place it in an airtight container and keep it refrigerated for up to 3 days.

To reheat, use a microwave or a pan with a splash of water or oil to prevent the noodles from drying out.
